Another month, another batch of huge Hollywood flicks coming our way! While last month’s offerings were pretty hard to beat (we still can’t get over A Star is Born), from the looks of it, November will certainly give October a run for its money.
From the much-anticipated biopic of one of the most beloved bands in music history to a couple of long-awaited sequels, we’re ready to ditch work altogether and spend the next month at the cinema. Care to join us?

1. Bohemian Rhapsody
You’d struggle to find someone who doesn’t know and love at least one Queen song, but regardless of whether or not you’re an ultra-fan like us, you’re going to love Bohemian Rhapsody. This biopic follows the band from its formation to its iconic 1985 Live Aid performance, focusing mostly on the band’s late, great frontman, Freddie Mercury, played to unanimous praise by Mr. Robot star Rami Malek.
2. The Girl in the Spider’s Web
You may have seen the brilliant Swedish adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s bestselling Millenium book series, or even the 2011 Hollywood remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. However, this latest flick, based on the fourth book in the series (and the first not to be written by Larsson, who passed away in 2004), serves as a stand-alone story, starring The Crown‘s Claire Foy as Lisbeth Salander. It’s already garnered great reviews and looks just as thrilling as we’ve come to expect from this iconic series.
3. Boy Erased
Nicole Kidman. Russell Crowe. Joel Edgerton. Despite its killer Aussie lineup, Boy Erased, a coming-of-age story based on a true story, is actually set in a small US town. It follows 19-year-old Jared Eamons (played by Lucas Hedges), who, after coming out as gay to his pastor father (Crowe) and conservative mother (Kidman), is forced into attending gay conversion therapy or else be shunned by his family, community, and faith. It’s raw, emotional, and beautifully acted.
4. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Potterheads, rejoice: it’s finally time for another journey into the world of magic! The Crimes of Grindelwald picks up where Fantastic Beasts left off, with the American magical community reeling from the return of the dark wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), who wants witches and wizards to rise up and rule over all non-magical beings. In order to stop his former friend, Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) – little do they know the danger that lies ahead…
5. Widows
After four armed robbers are killed in a heist gone wrong, their widows unite to finish the job their husbands died for. If that’s not enough to draw you in, the screenplay was co-written by none other than Gillian Flynn, the mastermind behind the bestselling 2012 novel Gone Girl, and boasts a cast including Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson, and Australia’s own Jacki Weaver. This thriller will have you on the edge of your seat.
6. Creed II
Michael B. Jordan is back as boxer Adonis Creed alongside Sylvester Stallone reprising his iconic role as Rocky Balboa in the hotly-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed 2015 film Creed. This time, Creed is set to take on Viktor Drago, the son of Rocky’s former rival and the man who killed his own father in the ring, Ivan Drago, in what’s destined to be the fight of his career.
